What A Nightmare

August.22.2004 : Somewhere on I-78 East between exits 39 & 40 in Pennsylvania
This is what I saw for over 1 1/2 hours... red tail-lights! The congestion was due to a few accidents and construction narrowing down to one lane. We left Hershey Park at around 7:20pm and didn't make it home until 1:30am. A trip that normally takes 3 - 3 1/2 hours, ended up being 6 hours on the road.

BTW, don't ever stop and eat at the Burger King on exit 49A. Even though the sign stated that it closed at 11:00pm on Sundays, they were locking the doors at 10:10pm. After reluctantly let people in, workers were slamming things around in anger because of the additional customers. While waiting around for 20 minutes for our food, we witnessed workers that were cleaning the garbage bins and taking the orders at the register, make the food without cleaning their hands or wearing gloves. The guy cleaning up the tables and tossing out the garbage didn't even bother changing his gloves. Ewwww!!! Double yuck!!! At that point we asked for our money back and walked out.

We highly recommend the McDonalds at the Dorney Park exit!!! They were jumping with business and certainly didn't mind the late night customers.
